It is almost certain that by the time you use this material some of the phylogeny that is presented here will no longer be accepted.

The application of molecular techniques, with ever increasing volumes of data, and detailed studies of development have resulted in major changes to earlier concepts of invertebrate phylogeny.

Some examples of changed phylogeny are presented in the small section on invertebrate phylogeny.

Other changes are incorporated into the treatment of particular clades.
